What is DSIP?
DSIP (Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide) is a naturally occurring peptide made up of nine amino acids. First isolated from cerebral venous blood in 1977, it gets its name from early research showing it could promote delta-wave sleep — the deepest, most restorative stage of sleep associated with physical recovery and growth hormone release.
Since its discovery, DSIP has attracted research interest well beyond sleep, with studies exploring its effects on stress, pain, hormonal regulation, and withdrawal symptoms.
