What are research peptides?
Peptides are short chains of amino acids the building blocks of proteins that act as signalling molecules in biological systems. Different peptide sequences interact with different receptors and pathways, making them a diverse and widely studied class of compounds in areas including metabolic research, tissue repair, pigmentation, cognitive function, and longevity science. All products sold by Melanotan Aus are for in-vitro research and laboratory use only.
Are your products intended for human consumption?
No. All products sold on this website are for in-vitro research and laboratory use only. They are not drugs, dietary supplements, food products, or cosmetics. They have not been evaluated or approved by the TGA or any equivalent regulatory body for human use.
How do you verify product purity?
Every batch of peptide we supply undergoes independent testing using High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) to verify purity, and Mass Spectrometry (MS) to confirm molecular identity and weight. Our standard minimum purity is above 98%. Certificates of Analysis (COAs) are available upon request, simply contact us with your order number and the product you’d like a COA for.
What does "lyophilised" mean?
Lyophilisation is the scientific term for freeze-drying. Peptides are dissolved in a solution, frozen, and then the water is removed under vacuum. This process preserves the peptide’s molecular structure and significantly extends its shelf life. When you’re ready to use the peptide in your research, you reconstitute it by adding bacteriostatic water or another appropriate solvent.
How should I store my peptides?
Unreconstituted (lyophilised) peptides should be stored at -20°C for long-term storage for 18-24, or 2-8°C (standard refrigerator) for storage of up to 12 months. Once reconstituted, peptides should be stored at 2-8°C and typically used within 28-30 days. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as this can degrade the peptide. Keep away from direct sunlight.
What reconstitution supplies do I need?
To reconstitute a lyophilised peptide, you will need bacteriostatic water (water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative), an insulin syringe for measuring and transferring the water, and alcohol swabs for sterilising vial stoppers. We sell all of these individually and as a complete reconstitution kit in our Research Supplies category.
Do you offer non-injectable formats?
Yes. Many of our research peptides are available in alternative formats including oral tablets, nasal sprays, and sublingual sprays. These formats are offered to provide researchers with flexibility in their study protocols. Available formats are listed on each individual product page.
How fast do you ship?
Orders received before 12pm AWST on business days are dispatched same-day via Australia Post Express Post. Orders placed after 12pm AEST are dispatched the following business day. Full tracking details are emailed to you once your order is dispatched. Most Australian orders arrive within 1-3 business days.
Is shipping discreet?
Yes. All orders are shipped in plain, unmarked packaging with no product names, branding, or descriptions of contents visible on the outside. Your privacy is important to us.
Do you ship internationally?
We primarily serve Australia, but we do ship to select international destinations. Please contact us at info@melanotan-aus.com before placing an international order so we can confirm shipping availability and costs to your region.
What payment methods do you accept?
At present we only accept bank transfer.
What if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?
Contact us immediately at info@melanotan-aus.com with your order number and photos of the issue. We will arrange a replacement. We take packaging and handling seriously to minimise any risk of damage during transit.
Can I get a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for my order?
Yes. COAs are available for any product. Simply email us at info@melanotan-aus.com with your order number and the specific product(s) you need documentation for.
What is the difference between a COMBO and a BLEND?
A COMBO is two separate vials sold together as a package for example, one vial of CJC-1295 and one vial of Ipamorelin, packaged together at a discounted price. A BLEND is a single vial containing both peptides already combined. The choice depends on your research protocol requirements.
